We had a mixed bag of weather on this day in late September. At first it would be overcast with lots of rain and as the day progressed, we saw sunny spells with a brisk northerly wind. I decided to go out with my heavy lure rod, the Samson Longcast 30-100g and see if I could tempt a bass off the top, using the Patchinko 165. I hadn’t fished this mark in a while but it's normally good for a bass or two so after walking out onto the reef, I got fishing straight away.
