RTHFishingSA and Myself went out to Kloofzight lodge & Spa to do alittle challenge between each other. Most fish caught wins. This is an ongoing challenge between the both of us to see who has the most points on the board over all!!!

The day started early for the both of us and we were lucky to have a rainless day of fishing. The bird blue skies made fishing alot tougher then usual but we made due to catch some bass. We started fishing Kloofzicht first dam, this is there trophy trout dam. We didn't spend much time trying to catch bass out of the dam but we did get one bass out of the dam.
Kloofzicht has a bass dam right at the bottom of the property which is secluded from the lodge. This makes this dam truly special because of the silence of the surrounding nature. RTHFishing and myself started moving around the dam trying to figure out a pattern to catch bass so ether of us could win.
The dam was heavily stained and a darker more erratic bait presentation would do great in these conditions. I decided to throw a black 6th Sense stroker craw with a 1/4 tungsten bullet weight. since the conditions where tough, dragging the bait on the bottom with very little movement was the ticket to us catching bass.
These summer bass fishing days can be quiet tricky and frustrating to catch bass, but there are ways and that is to slow the bait down and just be patient.
Kloofzicht was a great experience and it is worth your while going there to fish.
