On August 21, 2024, an officer with the Monroe County Sheriff's Office was on patrol when he observed divers without a dive flag. The officer made contact with the couple and began a resource inspection.

In the end, Jeannie was charged with 11 counts of possession of undersize crawfish, 1 count of possession of 6 or more lobster, and failure to have a measuring device. Thomas was charged with 8 counts of possession of undersize crawfish, 1 count of possession of 6 or more lobster, and failure to have a measuring device. On the day of making this video, they negotiated a plea deal. The details are currently unavailable, but we’ll make a community post once the records have been updated.
