A TikToker known as badgerfishing was livestreaming while fishing in Washington State. According to the report, the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife received a call from a concerned viewer claiming they appeared to be snagging fish. The report goes on to state that the officers watched and recorded the livestream and observed the anglers completely removing fish from the water, a violation of Washington fishing regulations. They were also observed fishing with twitching jigs, which are commonly used to snag and foul-hook salmon.
In the end, Mark was cited for violating a recreational salmon fishing rule, failing to immediately record catch, and fishing with barbed hooks. Phillip was cited with a fish handling violation, contested his charges, and was found innocent.
