In this video, I am going to be going over everything that I believe a beginner needs to get out there and fly fish for stocked trout!(In mainly creeks and streams) Even if you aren't a beginner, stick around, because you might learn some new tips and tricks for these stocked trout! I am no expert, infact, I have only been fly fishing for 2 years, but I hope that what I am going to show ya'll in today's video will help some people out! Please like and subscribe if you enjoyed to help out my channel!
IMPORTANT:
I forgot to mention this in a video, but a 5 wt is also a good option just like the 4 wt
And when I was talking about the tippet rings, I forgot to mention that I will cut off about 12-15 inches of my leader, attach the tippet ring, and have my strike indicator 5 inches above the tippet ring, where the line is somewhat thick. To make it easier, I will include my full rig:
9 ft 5x leader, with 12-15 inches of the thin end cut off
2mm tippet ring, with a airlock strike indicator 5 inches above(Adjust strike indicator based on depth)
2-4 feet of your tippet of choice
Your fly, or double fly setup
Thanks for Watching!!! Let me know if I can clarify anything in the comments!
I do NOT own the music, I got it from these videos:
