For the first (but definitely not last) time I found myself in Southeastern New Yorks famed Catskill Mountain (actually a glaciated plateau). This area is historically significant in the realm of American Fly Fishing with rivers like the Beaverkill and Willowemoc. Although we only caught 10 or so trout over a few days, we had a wonderful time in this area. The scenery was beautiful, the public access was great, and the quality of the water was wonderful. Roscoe NY was a perfect little Trout Town as well.
