In this episode we are fly fishing for trout on a very cold day in February. It had snowed in the morning and was barely above freezing most of the day. We used crawdad patterns to catch a release a few nice Rainbows. In the second part of this episode we fish for trout in Eastern Washington using Chironomid patterns to catch and release large Rainbow trout on a very nice day in late March. The basalt rock side walls of this lake are spectacular. Like most of these scabland lakes there are some shoal area as a lot of straight drop offs so you are sometimes in sixty feet of water ten feet from shore. We start with Blood worm patterns and then switch to Chironomid pupae. I hope you enjoy this episode.
