Hard to beat a quiet fall day Fly fishing on the river away from any other anglers. Add hungry dolly varden Char looking to fatten up ahead of the looming lean winter season and you get some incredible action. Enjoy the sounds of the river and join me for a few of the numerous fish I landed that day. 50 fish days aren't uncommon when you hit the timing just right. An added bonus is the incredibly beautiful spawning colors on these fish. While most people are chasing coho salmon (silvers) this time of year, I'm enjoying one of the most overlooked fishing opportunities on Kodiak Island, Dolly varden fishing!
