ABOUT THE SPEAKER Kelly McCoy is a fisheries biologist by training and a fly fishing guide by trade. Originally from Hokes Bluff, Alabama Kelly earned a Fisheries Science Degree from Mississippi State University where she also earned her nickname “River Girl.” After graduating from Mississippi State she went on to work in Florida as a marine biologist. Then she and her wife vacationed up to the New River two years in a row and made a plan to move up here. What started out as tying flies in the upstairs of the Todd Mercantile Bakery has grown into much more.
