This glacier-fed river in Canada is absolutely loaded with giant bull trout — some of the biggest I’ve ever seen! In this video, I travel deep into the Canadian wilderness with my spey rod and streamer setup to chase these incredible fish as they hunt kokanee salmon before winter. The water is crystal blue, the views are unreal, and I ended up catching my personal best bull trout in one of the most beautiful places on earth.
We hiked miles through rugged terrain to reach this remote section of river, surrounded by glaciers, pine forests, and mountain peaks. The fishing was non-stop action, with aggressive bull trout chasing streamers and smashing flies right at our feet. Between the epic landscape and the sheer size of these fish, this trip was one I’ll never forget.
