Each of the four seasons presents a certain mystique, that is.. if you’re keen enough to recognize the surroundings as they shift. Capturing the subtle changes as they bleed into one another is no easy task, and all too often they will disappear through our hands like sand. So much happens and sometimes the lust for fish or excitement of the next adventure is enough to pull one’s attention away from the unique sights and sounds.
Of course, certain days on the water can hold more weight, these often amount to page after page meticulously etched down in your internal angling journal with the most vivid of details. Those trips make it easy to overlook the relatively uneventful days.. A handful of familiar fish or a long hike leading to nowhere just don’t seem to resonate as much.. However at FLY ALL SZN, we feel each memory made is truly valuable in its own right. Impact can still be found even if those quiet outings only amount to a few notes from season to season.
Scraps and scribbles can add up overtime and help us anglers put together these mysterious puzzle pieces, to create a more dynamic picture of our time on the water. This is going to be the home for all of those smaller adventures and little memories made throughout the year. The fish we target and the techniques will surely change just like the seasons. There’s a chance you’ll learn something, maybe you’ll be inspired to follow in our footsteps, but most of all we really hope you stick with and enjoy the story of this particular season.
As much as we might hope and pray.. summer can’t last forever.. The days were getting shorter, and the leaves were always bound to change. Success and heart ache seemed to be next door neighbors throughout the entirety of autumn. Some moments were a touch sketchy, but that is to be expected no matter what season.. Despite opportunities becoming fewer and further in between as winter set in, we still managed to find success. Stumbling across the finish line after a long season on the road was by no means an easy feat, but somehow we managed to make it back in one piece. We would love to have you join us as we explore all that Autumn had to offer.
