These simple "quill lures" that look like glass minnows and are made from craft lace, airline tubing and hooks not only work for most species of fish but they work well enough to catch up to 5 fish at once! I have attached 6 of these quills together and am trolling them through the surf for Blue Fish, Jacks, and Spanish Mackerel. Give them a try, switch up the colors and do some testing with different hook sizes and you will be impressed by how such a simple and cheap DIY lure can be so effective to put serious meat in the cooler!
