Make your own biodegradable EcoLureMaker
(www.ecoluremaker.com) BioBASS Bait Lures. We’re going to show you how to make your own lures without fancy equipment or expensive molds. This is how you do it.
Melt 20 grams of rubber in the microwave for about 20 seconds.
Spread it into your molds like jelly.
While the EcoLureMaker Rubber is soft, add in your secret ingredients such as salt, garlic, corn meal, and more. It’s your bait, so make it the way you want. You can also add glitter or other specialized adaptations. This is the orange pumpkin color, but other colors are also available so you can mix and match for different combinations.
After you fill in all the crevices, press the 2 mold halves together and squeeze. Wipe away any extra material.
Put in the freezer for 15 minutes to cool and solidify.
Pull apart the mold and pull out your lures.
You’ll need to clean up the edges with scissors. Cut off, but don’t throw away any extra material.
The 200 grams of biodegradable rubber makes about 30 5 inch lures and about 50 3 inch lures. The biodegradable rubber lasts for about 30 minutes to an hour in the water.
Maybe you’re wondering why we have introduced a biodegradable bass fishing lure rubber. Think of it this way. How many rubber lures have you lost? 1? 3? 10? My guess it’s too many to count. I know I have. And you’re angler friends? There are over 30 million anglers in just the United States. If each person loses just one rubber lure a year, that’s over 1 million pounds of rubber in our waters every year. We love the outdoors, and we want to keep it clean. These lures act as fish food, so any lures that the fish eat, will be digested and any left in the water will go away over time.
Now that these lures are complete, save the scraps for your next lures. This process took about 5 minutes of working time plus 15 minutes to chill the lures for a total of about 20 minutes to make.
And now go fish.
