My buddy Marsad invited me out for a night of moonfish aka lookdown fishing! These are rather odd looking fish that can be found in inlets, along jetties, bridges and basically any structure with good moving water. They are also plentiful around underwater dock lights behind waterfront homes of the ICW. Lookdown are an unregulated fish species in Florida, meaning you can keep 2 fish or 100lbs per person, whichever is greater. I baked the Moonfish in a middle eastern spice blend , and added them to some homemade pit bread gyros! Hope you guys enjoy. Moonfish aka Lookdown are highly sought after aquarium fish and on average sell for around $200!
