Mini Lobster season 2024 is finally here and the BocaBros wouldn't miss it for the world! This video is part 1 of a 2 part series for our 2024 mini season. While the weather was forecasted to be rough and not the most favorable diving conditions, the Bros and their friends sent it out of one of South Florida's small inlets into the Atlantic Ocean. The 3-4 Foot waves were no match for their 22 foot center console boat. Once at the spot, the team geared up with their scuba tanks and jumped right into the water. Immediately upon hitting the bottom, Steve, Bryan, and Sarah were greeted by a few big Florida spiny lobsters! They swam 0.5 miles down a reef line that has been a home to lobsters in the past. The water was clear and warm and in the long stretch of reef, the crew was able to find 18 keeper sized lobsters! The next spot was one of the team's favorite spots and upon freediving it, they were lucky to see that there were about 10 lobsters under the structure. Stephen and Bryan worked quickly and were able to secure all of the keeper sized lobsters. With more than 25 lobsters in the boat, the video cuts to the crew coming in enjoying some fresh fish on the boat for lunch. The rest of the diving and lobster catching from this day will be in our mini season part 2 video next week. Once the boys got home, they got to work in the kitchen and whipped up some of their famous lobster pizzas. They cooked two different versions: classic red sauce (pizza A) and a classic white sauce (pizza B). Both were delicious, but we want to know, which would be your favorite! Stayed tuned for part 2 next!
