When I first got to Tennessee I didn’t know what to expect. I’d see these shows with grown men freaking out about getting bit by catfish, but I could never imagine what it felt like.
For my first time noodling, my guide told me it was “initiation” to not were gloves. When I tell you this catfish bit down with the might of god and started dëâth rolling I am NOT KIDDING. I seriously thought I was going to lose my hand. When I came up from the water I looked at my guide in disbelief, like “you didn’t warn me”, but at the end of the day… I’m happy I didn’t wear a glove. Now I can say I didn’t use protection my first time with a catfish.
