We set out to fish one of the most remote “islands” in Cornwall… a place you can only reach by climbing down huge cliff systems, squeezing through caves, and picking your way across razor-sharp ledges. We’d heard rumours of seriously deep water and huge fish hunting beneath the rocks — so we went to find out for ourselves.
After an intense climb down, the spot opened up into a crazy drop-off with ocean-blue depths you’d never expect from the shore. What followed turned into one of the wildest sessions we’ve ever filmed… explosive takes, heavy battles, and fish far bigger than you’d expect to catch from land. If you like extreme shore fishing, deepwater exploration and discovering untouched Cornish marks, this is one you won’t want to miss.
We used simple spinning gear — 30g setups and our full Rapala, VMC, Sufix, Storm and Okuma kit — proving you don’t need heavy tackle to fish mega-depth marks if you know where to look.
