Return of the Mack. We back. Back in the Drift, or lack thereof. It is June and the Driftless Region has sprung into the green infinity I can only remember in dreams. There will be many adventures spanning across Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. My goal is to capture new memories with old friends and places throughout the month of June.
I have yet to experience or find better trout fishing East of the Rocky Mountains. Southern Tailwaters, Great Lakes Tributaries, and even The Smoky Mountains all pale in comparison. In the United States, the Driftless Region is so far and above any other major trout fishing "destination". This kind of day is quite common and gives you the opportunity of both quantity and quality. Endless dry fly rises at every bend and the chance for nymphing up monsters from the undercuts. Wisconsin, Iowa, and Minnesota have untold numbers of streams. The Driftless is an absolute treat.
