CATCHING MY FIRST EVER GRAYLING IN COLORADO! But of course I think Lasso stole the show, the grayling were only a small addition.
In this video I’m going deep in the mountains of Colorado with a special guest to see if I can’t find my first ever grayling. I had never really attmepted to catch one because honestly, well, I thought they were kind of bland and didn’t get all that big. But I can promise you that these fish surprised me in a way that a fish hadn’t in a while, and I might rate these fish as some of the prettiest I’ve ever seen. Just watch, I promise you’ll be surprised too.
So as I already mentioned Martin is the special guest on this episode. I can’t exactly remember how long ago it was, but Martin and I first connected on instagram when he asked if he could use one of my VoiceOver audio’s for one of his reel’s. Of course I said yes, and long story short for a reason we still don’t totally understand this combination was a match made in heaven. The reels with Martin’s incredible glass artwork and my audio probably garnered over 1 hundred million views and even got him a follow from Joe rogan after one of his musky reel’s with my audio went viral. But I don’t want to pretend like I had anything to do with it because I use my own audio all of the time and don’t get nearly the attention, so his glass speaks for itself. However it is really cool that my voiceovers have been heard by tens of millions of people who have probably never watched a video. Anyways we’ve been talking for a while and our shared obsession with bull trout had recently got us wanting to fish together. So, after I told him I’d be in Colorado for my annual trip to see my brother, we decided to chase after grayling.
So I’d say that day went pretty well, caught my first grayling, fished with Marten and Lasso and genuinely enjoyed my time.
