We hiked deep into the Sawtooth Mountains to fish a remote river system for wild trout, armed with nothing but a mystery fly box from Postfly. The goal? Catch a fish on every fly in the box.
It was a classic hopper-dropper setup, but honestly, the fish were hammering dry flies all day. Cutthroat, rainbows, and brook trout were all rising, and the takes were explosive. Between the thunderstorms, rain showers, and incredible mountain scenery, this trip had everything you want in a backcountry fly fishing adventure.
We pushed upstream through some rough terrain, soaked and tired, trying to end the day with one big fish before the hike out.
