I'm back bass #fishing my old stomping grounds! I am on Lake Houston doing some #september bass fishing. This place didn't disappoint in today's video. I had one of the #best fishing days I've had out there. I'm actually fishing on #laborday There was boats everywhere after 11am.
Now this lake is AWESOME! I didn't use any fish finders to help me find them. That's right. No #Iivescope or anything. I just used what I've learned over my 30+ years of fishing.
Keep in mind this lake is not a big bass factory, but you can catch some good numbers. Especially during the fall, winter and spring.
It also has lots of catfish, white bass, bream and crappie. This is a lake where you can bring your kids, and they'll catch a good number of fish. Especially when #fishing for white bass, catfish, bream and crappie.
My main lures in this video were an Xcite XB-1 crankbait in a chartreuse and blue color. A Strike King #structure jig paired with a rage craw in green pumpkin. I also caught several on a baby brush hog style creature bait #texasrigged
I fished north of #1960 in this video.
The cool thing about this lake is it's full of shallow cover. It mainly has logs and boat docks for cover, but it has some good creek channel and river ledges on the southern end of the lake.
