Beaver Lake Fishing Report for March 2023
Water Level: Normal pool +1
Water Temp: 50-54 degrees.
Water Clarity: Moderate stain in and around the Prairie Creek area with floating debris. The upper ends still blown out with all the heavy rain we have been having, although catching some up super shallow around stumps and chunk rock.
Hotspot for the Month:
Prairie Creek Area / Mid Lake
Best Bait to Throw:
On muddy water days, shallow running white and neon spinner baits. Jerkbaits over timber and brush piles. offshore, try the Damiki in white.
Warming trend is in full swing, but with recent rains and strong winds has made getting out and on a bite a bit tougher. Look for shallow bank transitions that have feeder creeks for the best chance to catch some toads!
Most fish being caught are still tight on cover and in the 20ft range. I have come across a lot of bass in the 1st and 2nd point staging areas so keep a dd crankbait tied and ready! The jig bite has picked up in and around stumps and laydowns, with black and green working the best. Jerkbaits over brush piles and the occasional dock bite has worked well on cloudy days. Warmer weather is on the way, hopefully we can get a break in the rain and wind and shallow fishing should fire up quick! Stay tuned for more Beaver Lake Fishing Reports, and Tight Lines!
