Early October in Central Texas is always a transition time of year for the bass in Lake Travis. As the water temps start to cool back down and we get rain runoff, it will change the fishes' behavior. Largemouth bass will begin pulling up out of deep water where they have been living during the summer, and making their way to the backs of coves. However, they don't move to the very backs of the coves immediately. In this video I give some advice on what baits to throw and patterns to try.
