50 degrees and steady light rain...actually not bad Ohio fall fishing weather! Plus I had the fun of meeting up with new fishing buddies, Billi, from Rippin Lips With Billi, and Alex Peters, owner of Outta Line Lures and the Fishing River Smallmouth in Ohio facebook page. I had met them at the campout for the last BKFT tournament, and we all decided to meet up and see if we could catch any Kiser Lake bass. I ended up with one largemouth on a crankbait, and Alex got 3 on a chatterbait, and it managed to at least mist rain most of the time we were out there. Kiser is such a cool little lake... the lily pads were all gone by this trip (October 30), but the bass were still relating to the remaining stems and grass... makes me want to go frog it in the summer!
Thanks to Strictly Sail & Kayak for the Hobie Lynx, it has been such an amazing opportunity to fish on that kayak for the last few months, and I am completely in love with that boat!
