Well first rip for the open water seaon. The rainy river is a special place for walleye fishing it is unreal how many fish run this river in the spring. We ended up with a decent first day a lot of nice fish no crazy big ones but just happy to be back in the boat. We were just cruising around looking fir pods of fish and spot locking on them and casting plastics. The best way to fish walleyes in my opinion love to feel the wack of a big walleye on a jig.
