Hot bite hybrid bass/wiper fishing Willow dam on the Ohio river

After the rough day I had fishing Racine and Bellevue dams in the super muddy and high water on Saturday, I decided to try Willow dam on the way home Sunday morning. Thankfully the water level came down about 2 ft from the day before and cleared up a bit as we went further upriver.

Quite a few wipers (white bass × striped bass hybrids) and a couple white bass where caught this morning until the shut off about noon. I believe we kept 8 fish out of all of them, pretty sure I caught over 2 dozen in the 1-3lb range. Such hard fighting fish and I'm looking forward to hooking into that 10lb+ fish!
What a fantastic weekend I had exploring 3 new places on the Ohio River in one weekend and I learned from this trip what I need to change to be better prepared for regarding tackle and the height gauge charts for my next trips down to the Ohio river.
