I decided to use a Drop Shot Rig, which is my favorite rig for bait fishing for trout. It's weedless, keeps your bait in the strike zone and gives you a direct line between your hook and the rod tip. I used two dropper loops about 4 inches apart with #10 Owner Mosquito hooks, and an 1/8th oz drop shot weight 18 inches below. This allowed me to get two different colors in front of the camera at the same time. I drafted up a tournament bracket with 8 colors - the colors of the rainbow, plus pink and white. I hope you all enjoyed it! It was defintely a HUGE challenge to film this, edit it and produce the music, but I'm really glad I did it! I think it'll really help me to understand trout and the colors they prefer -- not only when fishing with powerbait, but also with flies and lures.
