These tiny crank bait lures from Nikola inspired this challenge to fish for trout with a baitcaster and are also the reason for the video having a "paid promotion" label (since I didn't pay for the mikrolino wobblers).
As well as trout - the lures and tactics in this video can be great options for a range of predatory fish including panfish (including crappie and bluegills) as well as bass, perch, pickerel and more.
Of course this style of fishing and lures would be possible using an UL spinning reel outfit as well. The challenge, here, was to find out whether a totally "stock" or factory specification Bait Finesse System reel could handle the range of lure weights.
