I head out to fish a piece of water that's always been on my wish list but due to its remote location and difficulty to access, I've always put it on hold. But this week I finally do it and get the cycle out and ride 15-20km then hike a number of km's to get to the relatively remote water. It was pretty clear the fishing pressure is low on this stretch of water. I didn't see any other boot marks but a lot of deer tracks instead. The fishing was pretty good - although perhaps not as good as the upper sections of the same river that I fished this time last year. In saying that, if I landed all of the fish that I hooked into (not all shown in the video) then it would have been a really productive day fish number wise. I didn't see any big fish in the river - all under 4lb.
After cycling 30-40km and walking over 20,000 steps for the day and driving 3hrs return, I was tired when I finally got home but really happy with a great day out!
