In this fly tying tutorial Cheech ties the F-22 Cicada! Cicadas are kind of big clumsy bugs with a weird profile that ends in a little point in the back. This fly uses a newer technique to add body profile without bulk. I splay the wings out on this one to give the appearance of a cicada trying to lift off. This style can be built into many other foam dry flies as well! Happy tying.
