I returned to one of the most remote places in Iceland — far out on Sprengisandur in the Highlands. This place has become one of my favorites, a place where almost nobody goes to fish. Last year I filmed here in Remote Desert Fishing, and I just had to come back.
What happened this time was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. The trout in this pool fight with a power that’s hard to believe. Rocks, whitewater, thin leaders — everything was stacked against me.
This is Iceland fly fishing at its wildest and most unpredictable.
