Night fishing is honestly one of my favorite ways to chase trout. Fewer people on the water, and the bigger fish come out to feed once it's dark completely different game than fishing the same river in daylight.
In this video, I get into how trout behave once the sun goes down, why they hit bigger flies harder, the gear I actually carry, my rod setup, and some of the patterns that have worked best for me: mouse rigs, articulated streamers, crawfish patterns.
Also talk through how I actually fish once I'm out there, plus a few safety things worth thinking about before you try this yourself.
