Streamer fishing is easily one of my favorite ways to catch brown trout and this video proves exactly why! Not only did I catch several nice brown trout but I also had a chance at my second musky on the fly.
Pa has a rich history of fly fishing. The shear amount of trout water in Pa is overwhelming which is part of the reason the state has produced some of the most well known anglers in fly fishing. As incredible as the state is I’ve never really put much effort into exploring it… But I’m hoping to change that.
The further we worked our way down the river, the less trout I moved. This is pretty typical for larger river systems because as you move down stream the water warms. Eventually you get to the point where trout can no longer survive. I tried for musky on the last mile or so of the float with no success, which shouldn’t be a shock. But we couldn’t complain, boating 6 fish in marginal trout water is always a treat. If you all have ever wanted to fish Pa then hit up Dan from @HardwayOutdoors and book a trip.
