The Day the Fish Wouldn’t Bite (and What We Learned)

The fish were rising, but ignoring Alex's double-dry fly rig.

So, he changed things up by sizing down on his tippet, and moving to a single dry fly instead.

This got rid of any micro-drag that might have been on his fly, and gave him a bit more control over the drift.

After a couple of casts, Alex stuck - and landed - a GORGEOUS cutthroat.

The fish turned out to be one of the only ones we'd catch that day, because the fishing turned OFF right after.

So what do you do when you think you've cracked the code, and the fish suddenly quit biting? How do you push through that situation?

We cover that - and tons more - in this week's episode of Untangled.
