Back in October, Jen and I set out on an adventure to get some fishing in, but also to try to view and take photos of the annular solar eclipse .
We drove into the Oregon Outback in search of a good spot to camp and take in the eclipse. We settled on a nice river valley tucked up in the hills. The fishing was really fun and consistent for beautiful wild redband trout. Some calamities occurred but overall, we had a great time. I can't wait to get back and explore the area more.
Most of the fishing was Euro Nymphing or tight line nymphing. I go into some detail on the setup that I am using in the video, so look for that. Gear wise, the rod is a Sage ESN 3wt paired with a Hatch 4+ reel spooled with a specific Euro Nymph line from Rio. Links to each below:
