Beaver Lake Fishing Report for February 2023
Water Level: Normal pool.
Water Temp: 46-50 degrees.
Water Clarity: Heavy stain around the upper river arms from all the recent rains and run-off, should be clearing up in the next couple weeks. Prairie Creek up to the Dam, nice and clear!
Hotspot for the Month:
Monte Ne
Best Bait to Throw:
Tight Cover Baits, Jigs, Worms and Red Color Crank Baits.
Well we have had a nice warming trend for the last week of the month, with increased water temps as well as normal lake levels. With the extra warmth the fish have moved up a bit, but the bait balls have dispersed quite a bit on the down side making locating a tougher time.
Most fish being caught are tight to cover, trees, laydowns as well as bluff walls and drop offs. Try deep crank baits bouncing the bottom as well as jigs and other bottom bouncing baits. The occasional school still pops up, so make sure you have a stickbait or swimbait tied and ready. Warming trend has really picked up the bite, and we are looking forward to a nice spawn this year. March looks like its going to be a great month to catch a bunch of fish as long as we keep having this nice weather, and hopefully not so much rain to muddy up the river arms so much. Stay tuned for the March Forecast, and Tight Lines!
