If your fishing for giant bass in Southern California, Lake Hodges is definitely on the short list of lakes to go hunting for them. We have heard so much about the lake, mostly that it was only open 3 days a week and closed in the winter but also, it holds giants. Never having fished at Hodges we had to breakdown the lake on the water in real time. The bite was slow at first and the fish were not on the pattern we thought they would be but never the less, there were some big belly's caught, we had a lot of fun and cant wait to go hunting there again!
