I have wanted to do this for a long time, and I've finally committed to fishing more Big Lakes. Pond fishing has always and will always be my passion but I've had this burning desire to tackle larger bodies of water and that's precisely what this series is about. Through this journey, you will get the raw days with all they have in store for us, the good the bad, and the ugly.
Lake Athens is a beautiful fishery with very healthy fish but with that comes pressure making it challenging to even fish one spot that wasn't hit 100 times that day by different anglers. I think the pressure is what makes it that much more challenging but rewarding at the same time. Nothing builds confidence like catching a good bag on a well-known lake.
