I've been itching all spring to catch some yellowbelly on lures but the rivers have been so high and dirty I've had to bide my time. With the water finally starting to clear up I picked up a few HC Lures spinnerbaits and headed to the Elmore Weir to have a crack at them. It only took about 6 casts (it was actually the 7th cast) for me to find a hungry yella, and like most golden perch caught at this spot it had beautiful colouring.
