It was 70 degrees so we headed to the lake to do some crappie fishing and man I'm glad we did. The crappie bite started slow but as the afternoon sun went down the crappie bite really heated up. The crappie that were deep 15'-25' down we could vertical jig but the crappie up 8'-15' we had to cast to ,those shallow fish, they were just to spooky and would move off when you got closer than 20 feet away.We fished lake Country baits in LC shad . All lures had some sort of green color to them. I have fished other colors on this lake but something in green is the way to go.
