After finishing it's run with the 19th Annual Fly Fishing Film Tour (F3T) across Australia and New Zealand, CREAM has wrapped up its festival journey and it's now time to share it with everyone! 🙌 This short film was another step in my progression as a filmmaker. It started as a small project to see if it would make the cut for the Rise/F3T Film Festival, and I'm humbled that it did. Huge thanks to everyone who came out to the screenings in various venues around Australia and New Zealand over August/September 2025.
Leif Stävmo is one of the most respected figures in the fly fishing world. Leif founded the Swedish branch of Guideline in 2001 and has been a cornerstone of the brand ever since. As Head of Product Development, he's one of the world's leading rod designers and innovators. He's also a genuine front figure for the sport, admired not just for his skill, but also for his character and outlook on life. Leif's story is an inspiring one. Having survived a heart attack, he brings a powerful message in CREAM... a reminder to slow down, appreciate the moment, and make every minute count. His words hit home and give the film an emotional depth that truly resonates. With wild weather limiting us to just one day of filming, and plans A,B and C failing, it was a relief that we found a weather window and a small side creek to get it done and I'm proud of what we created together.
